You must hold a Diploma in Social Work or equivalent related Social Work qualification.

You will liaise with contractors, surveyors and builders to ensure a project is on track and ensure there are enough staff, machinery, and materials to complete the job.

You will be educated to Degree level in an appropriate Health or Social Work qualification, Management qualification or evidence of continuing professional development.

You will provide a bridge between the strategic overview of the Adult Protection Committee and front-line operations.

You will be Lead Officer, Western Isles, in respect of Mental Health services provided by the Social and Community Services Department.

You must hold experience of chairing multi-agency case conferences and the management of staff.

You will be required to work out with normal working hours, to enable the Comhairle to undertake its duties.

You must have the ability to work effectively using your own initiative and following procedure to create good quality work, you must also have good communication skill, both written and oral. It is Essential you have experience of working with figures and data input. Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.
