You will initially spend time with me learning how best to communicate and support Erin as she is non-verbal. A driver with clean licence is essential for this post. There is a genuine occupational requirement for the holder of this post to be male/female in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Equality Act 2010.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service. You will be computer literate as excellent data inputting skills are essential. As you will be required to drive between external sites to transport blood components, you must hold a full UK driving licence that covers manual transmission vehicles.
