You will be proficient in InDesign and also possess a good knowledge of football, from the EFL down to the non-league pyramid.

You will need to be able to trim copy back under pressure, have the ability to rewrite stories where applicable, come up with snappy headlines and spot/correct any errors in the copy, all to strict deadlines.

You will sub layouts across Hearst’s Women’s Lifestyle and Wellness division (Cosmopolitan, Red, Prima, Women’s Health, Men’s Health and Runner’s World), working closely with the editorial, design and marketing teams to ensure every piece of content is clear, compelling and error-free.

You will also be required to work across other titles as directed by the Group Production Lead.

You will have a hybrid working model, meaning 1 to 2 days per week in our Peterborough office and the rest working from home. Key Responsibilities:

You will plan, write, commission and edit content, and work with designers and subs to ensure layouts meet the highest standards.

You will travel to company and other industry events worldwide to deliver content, represent the company and gather material for editorial content.

You will be required to edit a wide range of content from our global content and decision science teams.

You will be exceptional at analysing data and ensuring our data-rich content is relevant for our clients.

You will be highly skilled in digital publication and have experience working for a data-led business.

You will sub in as team leader whenever the Senior Editor is out.

You will also proactively partner with the creative team on the homepage, app, and newsletter imagery.

You will ensure these applications effectively demonstrate Ably's realtime capabilities.

You will participate in incident response and coordinate with the Infrastructure team on platform dependencies and deployments.

You will hold the team accountable for delivery commitments while providing the mentorship needed to turn engineers into product-minded leaders.

You will design and develop complex visual experiences, including data flow editors (DAGs), streaming dashboards, and workflows that help users understand and act on live system state. This role requires deep technical skill in modern front-end engineering, an eye for UX, and the ability to collaborate across backend, data, and platform teams.
