You will be a mentor and support to carers on the floor and work with the Head of Care and/or Deputy Manager and Manager to ensure that we are providing the best possible care.

You will also be in charge of managing carers and seniors on the floor and deploying them appropriately.

You will need to have the flexibility to support the other Day Surgery Units in Heavitree and Tiverton if required.

You will need to have at least six months' experience working in a care/supported living environment, and ideally hold a Level 3 Qualification in Health and Social Care, although it is more important that you have a positive, can-do attitude and the willingness to undertake further on-the-job training.

You must be self-motivated and be able to work as part of a team. This is an ideal opportunity for any employee who is interested in gaining experience in a first line management role and keen to progress and develop their personnel skills.
