test development engineer jobs in Bradford

You will be responsible for supporting the consultancy on test automation proof of concepts as well as presenting and demoing solutions to clients. We are looking for a candidate with the following experience; - Proven experience and ability to create test automation frameworks from scratch using Playwright and JavaScript or Typescript.

You will be responsible for validating our conductor coatings through both internal testing and management of third-party laboratories.

You will design and execute test plans, build test rigs, collect and analyse data, and provide clear feedback to design teams. This role requires strong hands-on skills, analytical thinking, and cross-disciplinary knowledge.

You will help ensure that the software we deploy to power lines is safe, reliable, repeatable, and field-ready. This includes testing across Linux-based robotic control systems, networking and communications, sensor pipelines, and system integration.

You will also work closely with embedded firmware engineers to provide testing support where necessary.

You will shape how our engineers build, test, release, and monitor software, ensuring frictionless workflows while keeping ownership of business logic, test quality, and development practices firmly with the product engineering teams.
