You will have responsibility for the delivery of specialist psychological assessment, high intensity/ highly specialist individual and group therapies for individuals with moderate to severe mental health presentations. Clinical supervision of trainees, qualified staff and multi-disciplinary staff delivering low intensity psychological interventions will also be a key part of your role.

You will gain many transferrable skills, including working across a broad age span, adapting interventions to suit the context and an understanding of how psychological needs change from the point of diagnosis, through survivorship or to end of life care.

You will hold MRCP or equivalent and will have completed general professional training. It is expected that you will already hold a higher research degree (MD/PhD), but in exceptional circumstances a talented candidate may be appointed without this qualification, with progression dependent on successful completion of this qualification in the first few years of the post.

You will also be required to help with covering reception.

You will play an important role in a ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care while complying with all clinical and health & safety guidance.

You will support children in their development and physical care whilst learning about practice through nurturing relationships and positive interactions. As a valued member of the team, you will support educators to observe and document children’s learning and development and assist in the day-to-day operation of the room.
