weekend care worker jobs in Oldham

You will be working with young people aged 11 to 21 who have been placed into the care system for numerous reasons with an array of disorders, behaviours and needs and therefore we require individuals who have the confidence, understanding, patience and skill set to successfully work with these young people and make a positive impact on their lives.

You will work closely with Social Workers and partner agencies to help improve outcomes for children and promote their safety, wellbeing and development.

You must also be able to travel across the borough and work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends to meet service needs.

You will deliver essential medical care, with opportunities for full-time or part-time roles, covering various shifts predominantly during evenings and weekends. A competitive salary of £95,025 to £105,788 per annum is offered, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid indemnity cover, study leave, and access to wellbeing initiatives.

You will be accountable for complex decision making in relation to caseloads ensuring professional judgement, service user involvement, needs led assessment, critical reflection, and analysis to inform this.

You will identify and assess levels of risk and need (within statutory frameworks) in often complex situations.
