You will own the relationship from research and initial introductions, up until there is a fully qualified sales opportunity identified and an appointment booked for the client directly to interact with the prospect, either by telephone or face to face.

You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be fluent in English or German/French/Spanish/Italian/Russian or Arabic.

You will have experience of working in a nursery and also have experience of developing aspects of early years practice.

You must hold an SCQF level 7 qualification that meets the requirements of the SSSC as a Practitioner in a Day Care of Children Service (minimum of HNC or SVQ3), and the requirement to achieve a relevant SCQF level 8 qualification, within 3 years of taking up post.

You should have experience and an understanding of working with children and young people in an informal setting. You will work on your own supervising children brushing their teeth, but you will have regular contact with the NHS Orkney Oral Health Team. While your role is not to brush children’s teeth you will be there to encourage the children to brush their teeth well and develop this important lifetime habit.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
