You will have previous experience delivering successful projects within an urban drainage environment and demonstrate technical experience covering a wide range of urban drainage management activities, including proficiency with InfoWorks ICM. You will be a degree qualified (or equivalent) Engineer and ideally chartered, or a member of a relevant engineering institution (e.g. ICE).

You will also manage and guide the more junior team members and help with their development.

You will be able to provide engineering input to design outputs in collaboration with other disciplines, such as General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, Control Philsophies, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.

You will have direct involvement in the water related challenges faced by clients in the quarrying and mining sector (including quarry and landfill operators) in the UK. You will be part of a large and diverse team in which you will be supporting the delivery of engineering solutions for the water environment, whilst furthering your understanding of flood risk, hydrology, hydraulics and water management.

You will have the opportunity to be involved in and take a lead role in a wide range of multidisciplinary projects.

You will be able to devise methodologies that meet the requirements of the client brief and are in line with best practice and industry guidance.

You will be able to deliver flood studies to project time and cost constraints and be able to self-review your work.

You will support growth in Stantec’s dedicated Water Environment Team, working on the continuous development of our expertise in all aspects of water quality and integrated catchment management to develop sustainable water, land, and asset management solutions that meet the aspirations of the Government’s 25-year environment plan.

You will also ideally be an Incorporated or Chartered member of a relevant engineering institution e.g. ICE, CIWEM. You’ll have previous experience of developing detailed designs, working in a contractor led environment, leading and developing civil engineers and managing other technical professionals to achieve holistic technical outcomes.
