You will guide the region on best practice, lead continuous environmental improvements, and support strategic initiatives across the wider ABP port group. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about environmental performance, compliance, and innovation within a large, complex operational environment.

You will also be responsible for establishing policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace. As a safety officer you must have excellent attention to detail to identify hazards.

You will also be able to discover opportunities for improving conditions and execute various safety programs.

You will need:A NEBOSH qualification or equivalent, or be in the latter stages of working towards it. Previous experience working in a health and safety position (manufacturing preferred). Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels. A practical, hands-on approach and a genuine passion for promoting safety and wellbeing at work.
