Purchasing Officer jobs in Poole

You will have a proven background in transactional accounts including purchase ledger, sales ledger and reconciliations;Keen to progress and develop experience, ideally studying AAT or a similar accounting qualification;Will have previous knowledge working in an industry sector such as developments or construction, highly advantageous.

You will be supporting a team of 2 buyers undertaking administration including chasing suppliers for updates on outstanding orders, updating company systems & spreadsheets on goods and parts coming in, updating internal departments on the status of orders in order to plan production.

You will manage purchase ledger activities and provide financial administrative support, ensuring all financial information is accurate, timely, and aligned with internal procedures. Complete purchase ledger duties within strict deadlines. Oversee ledgers across all Xero accounts, reconcile bank transactions, support cash handling, and process purchase orders.

You will be responsible for generating monthly management accounts, cash-flow reporting and the preparation of statutory accounts.

You will hold a professional qualification, with proven experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or similar senior finance role. - Strong knowledge of financial compliance and experience in managing audits and external relationships.
