Role Overview:As an IT Service Desk Engineer, youll be the friendly, knowledgeable voice our customers rely on when somethings not working.

You will provide first level support, covering a large number of applications and systems, user administration and escalation of issues within the team. Previous experience working in a customer service environment is essential. Previous experience working in a technical or troubleshooting environment would be preferred but is not essential as full training will be provided.

You will be expected to resolve incidents and service requests at first contact covering a wide range of services.

You will have previous experience of working within an IT support environment and you will have technical skills gained from supporting users at all levels using PCs, mobile devices and the suite of Microsoft 365 applications.

You will provide a professional IT support service to the whole firm with end-to-end management of software and hardware incidents and service requests. Tasks will be allocated on a defined roster with duties such as phone support, IT support via remote access, email support, floor walking and project support tasks as required.

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service desk, handling support requests directly while setting a strong example for junior team members.

You will also work closely with the Service Desk Manager to identify opportunities for service improvement, helping to prevent issues before they arise and reducing reliance on reactive support.

You will be utilising your excellent and prompt customer support skills, representing our client in a professional and courteous manner. This role is based on their site in Whiteley (Monday to Friday) with an on call out of business hours expectation once a month. You have a strong team of management around you who will support your growth within this role.
