You will be a uniformed volunteer police officer, with the full range of police powers. To the average person in the street, there is nothing to distinguish that these officers are carrying out the role unpaid and in their spare time. If you’re looking for an exciting new challenge and a unique volunteering experience, look no further.

You will spend the first few weeks learning the law and specialist policing knowledge, ready to join your team out on the streets. While you will learn and develop your policing knowledge and practice you will not gain an academic qualification.

You must have successfully completed the minimum term of service and have an exemplary reference.

You will need to successfully complete the force vetting process to SC status which may take some time to complete; please bear this in mind when applying. Your training record will be reviewed by the CFI and an appropriate training plan will be implemented based on your individual needs - please get in touch to discuss how this would look for you.

You will be paid a full time salary of £33,364 which includes £2,000 South East Allowance and will not be charged any tuition fees – therefore no need for student loans.
