You must meet our eligibility criteria and pass the assessment process. As well as a medical examination, there is also a fitness test which you must pass (this will be repeated annually). Competencies for the role In evaluating applications we assess against the following Competencies and Personal Qualities.

You will be a uniformed volunteer police officer, with the full range of police powers. To the average person in the street, there is nothing to distinguish that these officers are carrying out the role unpaid and in their spare time.
