You will have a BSc (or higher) in Statistics or Mathematics. Previous experience working in a regulated or manufacturing environment, and SAS/R programming are advantageous.

You will assist in the design, simulation, and validation of our hardware systems. Your primary focus will be on the electronics—specifically the physical circuitry and PCB layouts that manage energy flow—distinct from the mechanical structure or control software.

You will follow the firms official career progression programme. This is coupled with 18 days of dedicated technical training per year, bi-annual pay reviews and trips to Microsoft Ignite. You will work on complex, real-time systems that interface closely with hardware such as motion controllers, lasers, and machine-vision components. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving challenging technical problems, working across software and hardware boundaries, and contributing to robust, scalable system architectures.

You will characterise, optimise, scale, and validate the R&D team’s unique ophthalmic production processes, ensuring they are robust, repeatable, and scalable. As this is a completely new optical system, the role requires a high degree of creativity, along with a proactive, hands-on engineering approach to developing novel and often complex production processes.

You will have a BSc (or higher) in a scientific or technical discipline, and bring prior experience working in a regulated clinical research environment or the healthcare industry, with preference given to those with Medical Device experience.

You will be adept at troubleshooting, and able to translate technical aspects to non-technical users.
