You will work as an unsupervised worker and supervise junior staff and students and assistants.

You will undertake the appropriate care of patient, assessment of treatment progress and side effects making appropriate referral to the multi-disciplinary team.

You will assess patients level of knowledge before commencing with treatment and thus participate in the informed consent process.

You will be responsible for supporting the teams to clinically advance and for the delivery of evidence-based interventions through direct care, supervision, training, and education with practitioners in the team. The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures.

You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working.

You will be given responsibility for holding a Speech and Language therapy caseload, with the full support of your designated clinical supervisor and site lead, also contributing to staff training and consultation as required This post would suit a resilient, creative and enthusiastic individual.

You will be expected to be take a flexible approach and potentially could be expected to commute outside of your specified borough. This commute would be covered within our Milage rate within our policy.
